I am actually writing this as my last piece of a bar of dark chocolate melts in my mouth. Yum, man that is the good stuff. Unless you are one of the very few (CRAZY) people who do not like chocolate, you probably could have chocolate everyday, under all its forms. Even beauty treatments and spas have been using it outside the body for its benefits. That is why I was more than happy to test drive the Sweet Beauty Chocolate Body Cream graciously sent to me by Babeland for an honest review.
I was very excited when my shipment arrived. I took a nice relaxing sensual bath, padded the extra moisture off my skin and let my fingers dive into the jar taking out dabs of unctuous body cream to moisturize my skin with. Now since I got the small jar – it comes in both a 2 oz. or 8 oz. jar – I used it sparingly and I think that was a good thing as I think for me an excessive amount would have been overpowering smell wise.
Now don’t get me wrong, it smells awesome, I just don’t know if I could handle that much being a bit more sensitive to fragrances. Now I normally have a great sense of smell but for the life of me I do not find it smells like chocolate. I am weird I guess because I read a few reviews and everyone thinks it smells like chocolate, I don’t. If I had to pick a smell, and this is where you will see I am also a foodie, it would be an excessively sweet white chocolate crême brulée. It really smells like a sugar, note white processed sugar, but some sugar I cannot put my finger on. But, again, it does smell good. I would not recommend putting on this cream before a hike in the woods during bug season though lol.
Smell is one thing but what makes a cream good is how well it hydrates and how fast it absorbs. In that department this Sweet Beauty Chocolate Body Cream is the bomb! It is packed with nutritious oils and butters for the skins. And it absorbs quite fast without leaving a greasy film behind. I actually applied some to my hands just before writing this post and my hands do not feel too greasy to type at all. Finally the moisturizing effects are lasting and with daily uses my skins does feel smoother and healthier.
After taking a look at the ingredient’s list you will quickly realize there is nothing artificial in this body cream. It is all 100% natural. The only ingredient that did not sound right was the stearic acid but after some research is is a saturated fatty acid acid that is used to harden products, in this case keeping the cream as a solid instead of a liquid. One important thing to note is this product has a 6-month shelf life due to it being made with only natural and organic ingredients. It is best to store in a cool, dark place as well.
Specs:

I having nothing bad to say about this Sweet Beauty Chocolate Body Cream that comes in a nice little dark plastic jar, I actually truly can only praise it. Wait, I do have one complaint….I only got the small jar and will run out faster. With winter just around the corner we could all use a little TLC from this body cream.
