Tenga Egg

I always find it funny when I get to shock someone from ‘the general public’ with a masturbaterof some kind because they usually have no clue such a thing exists. The Tenga Egg arrives in, as you guessed it, an egg shaped container. Its is sleek, clean, discreet, almost sterile in look. I think that it is strongly influenced by Japanese design which basically boasts the motto less-is-more. But at the same time is has a cartoon cuteness to it which is popular with the Japanese youth…their original main target audience after all. You can buy the eggs individually or in a 6 pack that comes shaped like a plastic egg carton at the grocery store. Now Tenga products are sold worldwide. To bad they have not gotten around to translating the text on the products…everything written is in Japanese. At least it is pretty straight forward so not exactly hard to figure out how to use.

So how do you hatch the sleeve egg? Just tear the plastic wrapping on the dotted line, remove wrapper, and open the egg capsule. It opens just like those small toys in the vending machine we use to bug our mom’s about. The egg can be removed from the capsule. Then remove the protective inside cylinder which just so happen to contain a sample of lube. They thought of everything.

The egg is a semi opaque white soft satiny gooey cool thing and it is made out Elastomer, a type of rubber. The Tenga Egg measure about 2 1/2” long x 1 3/4” wide (6.4 cm long x 4.4 cm wide). It has an opening on one side and is hollow inside obviously, that is where you put your pecker. There are 6 available textures on the inside: clicker (the one I have), silky, spider stepper, twister, and wavy. You can tell which texture it is by the wrapper design and name. See the pic below where I turned it inside out; you can see the nubs. It says it can be stretched to 12+”. I tried it over my hand and it took quite a bit of work to get it to stretch out a first but I guess with lube the job is much easier. It will stretch with use too. I can bet it feels awesome as a masturbation sleeve for a guy for sure. BUT I did not use it with a guy, I had other plans. This was a great idea a friend gave me.

I wanted to try it by putting it over a vibe inside out so I could the feeling of the egg and its texture during vaginal penetration. yes ladies you can make this a toy for yourself too! Now as I said it is hard to stretch and get it to stay at the bottom at first so my choice of vibe here with balls really helped. By bringing the opening of the egg below the ball part the was no slippage at all, it totally stayed in place. With a smooth straight shaft chances are it would not work. I lube it up and proceeded with usual self pleasing. It was really awesome because it adds a bit of girth to the dildo or vibe and the squishy material feels great. Also I could definitely feel the nubs a bit too adding pleasurable sensation. It was like having a whole new vibe to try out.

Either way you use it, the egg can be washed after with warm water and antibacterial soap. You cannot disinfect this toy so you cannot share it safely. OK you caught me, I said at the beginning it was ‘considered’ a disposable toy. Well if I had a complaint about Tenga it would be the lack of care for the environment. If you buy the egg and use it once then discard it totally is a hazard to the environment and it would get pretty expensive at around 8-10$ a pop. But if you don’t abuse the sleeve too much one can easily wash it out and reuse the sleeve a good 5 to 10 times I would say. That will still pile up in the garbage dump but remember the entire packaging is minimal and recyclable….not the case with other toys.

If you are a guy who is looking for an easy good quality sleeve that is not hard to clean and discreet this is a product for you. Ladies as I have demonstrated you can use it too as a sleeve over your current dildo or vibe. If you aim for one time use it could get expensive but with a bit of care it can last quite a bit more.
