Inflatable Bondage Chair

Ah yes, another Fetish Fantasy product. If you are a regular follower you already know I am not…usually….a fan of their products at all. I think this is my 6th review from this manufacturer and except for one toy, I truly hate their stuff. I am now very picky about the stuff I will review from this company but this Inflatable Bondage Chair has been pushing my curiosity button for a long time. I had to review it!

And thanks to The Adult Toy Shoppe who graciously sent me this chair in exchange for an honest review, my curiosity has been satiated! Was it worth the wait? Yes and No. It is a really fun product, it is a pretty good quality and it does what it says, depending on the frame of person you put in there. I’ll go more into details later on. Upon emptying the box you will find the chair deflated, a patch kit in case you should puncture the toy and the always included very flimsy blindfold Fetish Fantasy gives with almost all their toys. First thing you will have to do is inflate the chair.

I was lucky enough to have a friend lend me an air compressor because if I had to blow this Inflatable Bondage Chair up with my breath and lungs I would still be working on it lol. I don’t care if you take it to the gas station and fill it up in public…it will be worth it. There are 2 chambers to fill: the first is the squarish base and the second is the arm and head rest upper portion. To inflate locate at the back of the chair the two openings, it looks just like the ones from beach balls. A great thing about them is that the inside flap prevents air from escaping should you let go of the opening without having closed the hole. To deflate you will need a small object to keep that flap open while you push the air out. How much air to put in? Well look at the bottom right pic….see the seam with a few little bumps. Keep it about like that. You want the seams almost, but not quite, completely smooth. That is a pretty safe inflating level.

The black chair is made of PVC rubber and it measures about 36 inches wide, 31 inches high, by 33 inches deep. The PVC is pretty good quality as far as holding a lot of weight but it can be puncture really easily so keep sharp objects far away. The box says the bondage chair can hold up to 300 pounds which is really good. Just keep in mind if 2 people get on it or if you are having sex and two people are using it as a stabilizing object there is a good chance you will go over they weight limit.

The chair is ready to be used. Now go find a victim! This is not really a toy you can use alone as there is no way for a person to secure all 6 velcro strap restraints. If they could it would defeat the purpose of the bondage, right ha ha? OK so you have your victim sitting in the chair and you will restrain then with the 6 straps: 2 for the upper arm, 2 for the wrists and two for the lower shins. This is where we have our first problem. Two peopl plus myself tried out the chiar with the restraints. One person, an average man, was the right size for all the attachment points. One was a petit woman and her forearm was too short to tie the wrists if the upper arm was in restraint…she could get out no problem. I myself am a Queen so I could have all attached but the straps could have been a couple of inches longer to really secure a larger body type. So it is not a guaranteed one size fits all. I do have to say we really did test the velcro staps and they hold well. The man and I do not pull the restraints free short of actually tearing the PCV of the chrair. So if you fit in it you won’t escape easy. Another point to watch out for is that this chair can tip over. You can fall on the side with a good enough swing and fall. A tied person falling over could easily bang their heads in the corner of a table, or if a perspn is alone they just my stay on the floor till someone will come rescue them. 

I started off this post talking not all too kindly about Fetish Fantasy. And now I will tell you why: whom ever is designing their BDSM toys knows NOTHING about BDSM. This line of truly designed for the vanilla people who want to play kinky once in a while. It is not designed for an experienced clientèle at all. If you are totally new to bondage then this Inflatable Bondage Chair can be cool to just be tied into but if you are being topped for kinky play there is just not much available body parts to get too. The legs are tied somewhat close together so oral sex is not easy neither is genital play or CBT. The only available area to play with or torture is the chest/breasts. So great if all you want is to be tied and left alone, otherwise there is not much use to it…excep maybe a corner time punishment. Would be good for that.

The only reason I am allowing this bondage chair to redeem it’s self is because it is actually very comfortable position aid for intercourse and may allow for sex position exploration. And worse case scenario you will have a funky piece of blown up furniture. So all and all it’s not something I would consider as an new addition to a dungeon but for the price it is worth the fun. But if you are looking for some solid bondage play why not check out a Beginner’s Bondage Kit like this one. You can probably adapt it to your bed or exixting furniture while have the victim tied in a more accessible position.
