Neck & Wrist Restraint by Sportsheets

You may all have noticed I have been a bit quiet on my blog lately. I have had my fair share of disaster (water damage of my dwelling), disruption (3 weeks of repairs from owners), redecorating and a needed little getaway. But things are back on track and I got lots of goodies to tell you about int he next weeks.

And here is the first one: the Neck & Wrist Restraint by Sportsheets. From past experience I have always been weary when it comes to reviewing bondage or BDSM toys as most online sex shops sell low quality items that are destined for the inexperienced. It’s rare I come across a quality item I would use regularly. But Sportsheets is one name I have not been disappointed with so far.  am so happy to say this toy was awesome.

 

Like many adult toys this one arrived in a clam shell that is easy to pry open and can be used for storage later on unless discreet storing is needed. Inside there is one paper with one picture and no instructions…not that they really are necessary. Inside the packaging you will find a collar and a pair up cuffs along with the restraint strap. Let’s take a closer look at the items.

The collar and the cuffs are made of neoprene, a softy textured material a bit like foam,yet quite sturdy. These 3 items can be closed with a velcro strap and leave much room for adjusting to all sizes. The hardware for the cuffs is pretty flimsy I must say but these could always be up graded easily. Each cuff has a metal ring that can be connected by a basic clip. The collar is simply slipped into a pocket on the top part of the strap. I can be removed if necessary. The main part is of course the heavy nylon restraint strap. The strap is doubled and has 9 sturdy metal D-rings sewed in: 4 D-rings on each side and one at the bottom end of the strap. The strap is 2 inches wide and 19 inches long. The stitching looks really good and you can tell right away it is a solid piece.I took a couple of close-up shots below for you to see the quality of the items.

Best traditional way to wear this accessory is by wearing it across the chest or the back.It  will remain in place on the top part once the collar is put on. The wrist cuff can be attached with the clip (by passing though 2 opposing D-rings). Personally I would suggest getting a few better snap hooks at the hardware store. My only real complaint is once set up the bottom part just hangs there. So if you attach the wrists at the bottom a person can still lift there arms. I would recommend fixing it down with a going either around the waist or by the crotch. So what do you do with this toy? If I had to describe these restraints in one word it would be VERSATILITY.

You can keep it simple and just immobilize your partner’s arms by hooking them as described above. They make great prey to be teased, caressed, bit, pinched and  kissed at that point. If you are into rope you could use the D-rings to make a rope corset around the person’s middle body part. Or you could use the D-rings to attache the person to furniture or a bed with rope again. Just let your imagination go with it. Perhaps you think the strap could be used at another angle and tied differently then with a collar.

But what I find most versatile is this restraint strap will be wonderful for the novice player and it will grow with the experience of a player. Hardcore players will find it just as much fun. Once you have been around the bondage and BDSM block a few times the collar and cuffs will seem like a joke. Well the great news is their collar can be slipped in and used as well. Have nice big leather cuffs? No problem but those instead and use your hook to tie it on. Sportsheets really though about how all level of kinky players can benefit from the same toy. Really that is rare and I applaud them for that. This is a must item to own if you are into restraints.
