Duke it out

This is a very overdue review but the person it was tested on, a romantic liaison, disappeared from the picture so it has been a bit hard to actually sit down and write about this toy sent to me by the fabulous staff at Babeland.com. Thank god that experience did not tarnish my curiosity about this toy!

 

The Duke Vibrating Prostate Stimulator is by far the most unusual and unique prostate vibrator I have ever seen. i don’t know how the folks at Fun factory, the manufacturer, came up with this design. For one thing you will not know how to insert it when you get it out of the box….and there are no instruction either! I had to do some serious googeling and 2 test sessions to figure it out. Also this is definitely not an anal toy for the newbie…experience is required here. But once it is in place and inserted correctly…it is out of this world and unlike anything a man has ever felt before where the sun don’t shine. Let’s take a look at it.

 

 

No question about it, the Duke is made exclusively for boys. I don’t see it anatomically fitting inside a woman. The vibrator is made to stimulate the prostate, the entry of the colon (lots of nerves there) and the perineum. Now as to how you get it in you have to look at the image chart below. You will actually insert it in the opposite way your instinct would suggest. The top bulb is not the part that hits your prostate, that is the part that goes in the colon. The prostate is in the front part of the body so it is actually the sharper 90 degree curve that will be hitting the prostate. The bottom part will snuggle nicely right on your perineum. Not being a man I cannot confirm this but it looks like it would fit just about any anatomy. Really look at the chart and get a mental image before trying to put it in. And get a lot of lube and a lot of patience at first.

 

The odd S curved body of the Duke is made out of  medical grade silicone and has the classic matte finish all Fun Factory toys have. It is totally bendable and squishy on its own but you will find a hollow part where the plastic removable vibrator can be inserted. The curves are strategic placed to hit the right spots (the prostate and colon entry). The shape also helps it to stay in place during use. I love the fact that this toy is rechargeable with the new cool Click ‘n’ Charge system. The adapter connects to the vibrator with magnets. once charge just insert it into the silicone part. The vibrator is made to be a little longer so you can have easy access to the controls.

 

The vibrator has eight vibration speeds and three pulsation patterns. Press the on-off button to switch between the functions. To start and close the Duke you need to hold the button down for one second which will prevent accidentally turning it off or on. The vibrations would be qualified more as a rumble or a hum then a high pitch buzz. A full charge is good for about 30 min, a down side in my opinion. But the recharge time is short too, about 2 hours. 3 hours is recommended the first time.

The Duke Vibrating Prostate Stimulator is a pretty easy to to clean but keep in mind that the vibrator part is not waterproof. To clean it remove the vibrator and wash the silicone with soap and hot water, better yet disinfect it by boiling it, putting it in the dishwasher. Make sure the hollow whole is well cleaned. The vibrator should be wiped down with a soapy washcloth. Only use water-based lubes with the Duke. This item has a 90-day warranty against breakage or defects.

 

My partner really liked the Duke and found the sensation unique. He enjoyed the vibrations which he mostly felt on prostate  and the perineum. The Duke does a very good job of staying put and not slipping out at all. As a matter of fact my partner said he could easily penetrate sexually while having the Duke in. For a guy a toy that can do that is a pretty cool thing. But it is not perfect and we had a couple of challenges. The first one was inserting it. That partner was an advanced anal player and still it took a lot of deep breathing and relaxation to get past that wide and sharp 90 degree bend. Once it is in we were good but for a moment there we thought it just was not going to happen. As the handler of the toy I found the vibrator very short and hard to manipulate. Also since there is a lot of lube involved the controls slipped right off my fingers. What did was remove it and we used a thin 7 in vibe (which fit in the hollow hole) that he would normally use on a clit and I used it as a handle and had much better control over the mouvement of the toy.

 

Overall it is totally worth getting if you are a big fan of anal play and are looking for new experiences. The quality of the Duke Vibrating Prostate Stimulator is superb as with all Fun Factory toys so it will last a long time. Ready to duke it out with a new curve?
