To activate the independently controlled motors, press and hold the top and/or bottom buttons on the handle until you reach the desired intensity for each vibrator. This toy is waterproof so you can take it into the bathtub or shower and the motors are relatively quiet. To turn off the motors! a single touch turns each motor off. Since there is a motor you cannot boil or run this toy in the dish washer, so it is not really a toy you want to share without a condom on it.
