Gumdrop Anal Plug

Gumdrops usually bring to mind fruity and bright gelatin candies. The color and appearance of this anal plug is obviously inspired by this treat, however don’t put of of these in you mouth: this is definitely ass candy! OK yeah I know very cheesy intro but could not resist.

My latest review is a lovely find indeed. The Gumdrop anal plug, which is available in green, purple or orange, is a fun little butt plug that can be use alone or with a partner, with a strap-on or any smooth surface. Why yes it has a very secure flared base doubling as a strong suction cup. It is overall a small toy so best for novice anal players. For the more experienced a slow and delicious movement can be quite pleasurable as well. Let’s take a closer look at it shall we.

From a distance you might frown thinking it is made of jelly, but thankfully it is not so. This butt plug is made of Crystalessence, a type of PVC. Not exactly the best stuff but better then jelly. Correction: Crystalessence is a trade mark for a high grade translucent rubber which is more sturdy than regular jelly yet still flexible. Some sites list it as jelly rubber and some list it a TPR, so jury is out if it is phthalate- free or not. Cannot find info about the manufacturer online. The toy has a very smooth touch and had a rubbery feel to it. It is flexible but yields at too much of a bend, it remains solid and would not rip. There are a couple of air bubbles in mine but nothing to worry about. Also the toy does appear to be seamless so no worries of a scratch while inserting. It does have a somewhat rubbery smell to it unfortunately but I have smelled worse. I would not let it get near my mouth though as I am sure it does not taste so good.

This butt plugs measures 5 inches in length and 4 inches of it are insertable. The largest diameter area is a mere 1 1/8 inches wide making this a very easy toy for most to insert.  It really will not win over anal experts with the size and width. But do notice the wonderful ripple design giving you 3 chances, on the in and on the out, to pop wider and squeeze down again on the narrower neck as you fully take it all in. The suction cup at the base serves three purposes

1. since it is flared there is no worry of the toy being sucked in to you.
2. the flared base makes it compatible with strap-on harnesses.
3. and of course you can suction it onto a smooth surface for hands free self penetration.

A brilliant concept I had not seen before: the cup can be removed easily by pulling on the tiny tab, which is located right on the flared base. So how did I like the Gumdrop anal plug? I am an occasional player so I found my already tight anus unchallenged as far as width goes. And that is fine because I am not looking for major girth with this plug. What I really missed was more length. I really wish there was at least another good 2 inches added to it. I found a slower movement worked best as to appreciate the ripples of the toy. The suction cup is really awesome, strong and will hold on about any smooth surface. Having a hand free toy for anal penetration was a first for me and I loved it, just wish it was longer because it feels only like a finger fully inserted.

This toy cannot be sanitized, as the material is porous, in other words do not share it with someone else unless you put a condom on it.  Normal care is a simple good wash under a warm water tap and antibacterial soap. Make sure to dry it very well and I strongly recommend a little bag or and old sock to store it in. Crystalessence  has the reputation of being a dust and particle magnet. A quick rinse before play might always be a good idea. Both water-based and silicone lubricants can be used for the toy.

The Gumdrop anal plug arrived in a very simple plastic clam shell case which is far from discreet. You could keep the case as storage but better hide it well. Again, a little cloth bag would be best. The toy itself would be easy to pack in a suitcase. Actually it would fit easily in a purse as well for a little naughty public fun. Ah I bet I just got your imagination running there.
