Have you ever used your vibrating toothbrush as a sexual toy before? I have not but I have heard it is a common practice. Apparently the feeling you get is like no other vibe out there. I just really hope it is not the same toothbrush used for dental care after.
Of course eventually someone came up with the idea of creating a sex toy powered by sonic technology. It is currently in the works as we speak and the owner of the Revel Body company, Robin Elenga, hopes to have his invention out on the market by the end of 2012. A recent generous investment of $825,000 will help move things along.
Elenga, who has worked at Sonicare, said “There were a lot of consumers calling Sonicare saying they were using it as a sexual vibrator, and that kind of made me wonder why would people be using that vibrator. It was just this idea that if vibration is better beyond what the existing motors can do, we should try to help it.”
Revel Body's Orb
Baptized the Orb, the device was inspired by the Sonicare toothbrush which uses a combination of high frequency and high amplitude motions at a rate of 31000 movements per minute. This would “provide a significantly broader range of vibration and significantly more power”. And to make things even better the Orb also offers 66 percent less noise than traditional rotary-based motors.
Time will tell if the Orb will put your toothbrush to sexual gratification rest!
