A good deed
I don’t know if its a temporary thing or if it going to be come a part of my life, but as I adjust to my new Domme chosen life the line sometimes blurs between bdsm and vanilla when I interact with people…especially men. I tend to indirectly boss them around a bit more. And often they do what I say out of my sheer confidence I express. Seems like I am always try to get a point, a lesson….a training….across.

Well I had an interesting situation come across. I was simply going out to get a quick dinner last night at the grocery store. As I was about to walk in a handicap with a prostectic leg beggar approach me as I was going in. I am usually not one to give money or anything but as I walked past him, ignoring him, I did hear him specifically ask for food. Not money.

I kept walking by him but as I started shopping he really got stuck in my head. So when I walked by the sandwich counter I picked up a sandwich to give him. As I walked back out with my groceries I stopped by him and gave him the sandwich. I told him I only did it because he specifically asked for food and not money and I respected that a lot more. He was not really listening to me, more just happy to get the food and saying how he still had to eat and kept thanking me. But I felt like I was Domming him a bit and the sandwich was a reward for good behavior…for asking for food instead of a dollar which some often can spend on alcohol or drugs. I was using my mistress voice on him.

Maybe its just me and you, my reader, won’t relate. but it struck a chord with me. A few years back a lady beggar asked for money ofr food and when I offered her food instead she refused. So being able to give the food meant a lot to me.

Food for thought. Go get a sandwich tomorrow for the ones who need and ask for it.

Well I’ve experienced the blurring of lines between bdsm and vanilla life as well.
I have a tendency to micro-manage and someone told me recently that he (a vanilla friend) wasn’t my boytoy and to back off….lmao! Well I was being rather bossy…does come naturally, I admit.
As for the food and beggars…well I’m glad you reminded me of that.
In winter-time, I’ve been known to get some hot chocolate/coffee/tea and food for beggars on the street,
because I can’t help but feel for them, looking miserable sitting in the cold.
I remember looking at one beggar and his face would not leave my mind.
He was someone who must have lived on the streets for the longest time.
You know, one of those street people whose aroma you can almost see because it’s so dense.
Well he was holding up a cup. But he had the most beautiful, gentle smile on his face,
smiling at everyone passing by. At first I walked away, but I couldn’t get him out of my head.
I thought to myself – someone who looked like that would probably even have trouble going
into a store to BUY food. So I went to a Tim Horton and got the biggest hot chocolate they had.
It was a brutally cold day. And I got him a soup, sandwich and donut.
And when I went back to him and gave him that small stash of food, he looked so surprised.
I could tell he just didn’t receive an act of kindness from a stranger too often.
He stuttered his thanks to me, which were clearly heart-felt. I thought he might actually cry.
So you did do a good deed with me at least.
You reminded me that people go hungry all year long, not just in winter-time.
So maybe I’ll look out for a hungry beggar to give food to.

Reminds me of a time when someone came into Wendy’s and begged for change as well. I offered to buy him food but he refused, at which I said his loss and continued to place my order. He did walk away but then changed his mind and asked politely if I can buy him lunch.
Food is definitely better than money in this case.

It is always hard to know… will the money I give… if I give be used for something, liquor, drugs… whatever. But I hope for the best and give when I have it. But if the opportunity for offering something like a sandwich or bottle of water or whatever is available I always do that first. Everyone has a story, everyone was happy once and I hope what ever I can give will help… just a little.
