Review: Fun Factory Gallant

So the first toy I chose to test and review is the Gallant by Fun Factory. I was so excited to review this toy as I have never tried a Fun factory toy before. Finally the day arrived where a lovely parcel was left at my door. I quickly went inside my place, ripped open the box and marvelled at the pretty new vibrator. Just by handling it one can feel the superior quality of the product. The shaft is made of 100% medial grade silicone. The texture is velvety and the ripple design – reminds me of a cocoon – of the vibrator look promising. The tip is slim, flexible and slightly curved for light G-spot exploration. I am off to fetch some AA batteries.

OK so 1st con: opening the battery compartment is a bit of a struggle. You have to press two points for the cap to remove and it’s not easy-as-pie. But I get it finally. I like the easy to use control though. It is controlled by rotation and is ergonomically designed to control while is use with with elevated nubs. I am quite surprised by how quiet yet very powerful the motor is. The only option is a constant vibe, no bells or whistles, but one can control the intensity with great precision. You can start at a low hum and work your way up.

Now let me point out that I am normally more a fan of dildos. I often use my vibes without the power because otherwise I can skip over the orgasm. So power wise it’s hard for me to judge but it felt good enough. Once inside I found I needed quite a bit more lube then general because of the velvety texture, but it did feel good. I did feel a nice pressure around the G-spot area but not enough to get off that way. I really like the length of it but again for my taste I did not enjoy the slim tip as I like to really feel full. The grip and handling of it during use was great. 2nd con: one has to be very thorough in cleaning the Gallant as lube and personal liquids can dry up in the ridges if you don’t clean those out really well.

Testing this product made me realize a lot more what my personal requirement are. Don’t get me wrong, the Gallant by Fun Factory is a fantastic and well made toy if you enjoy a strong vibe and a slim tip. Alas that is not what I look for in a vibe to really get me off. It is a great toy, just not for me. Maybe it will be your cup of tea?
