Contemplation

When I marvel my reflection

All to be seen is perfection

A Venus in heaven

Surrounded by obedient men

And for all the fishermen to see

An exotic mermaid singing on the sea

I am a lovely young lady

Awaiting for a hero to save me

The next Marilyn Monroe

To be admired at every show

All the Casanovas in MGs

Will be begging at my knees

No, I have no shame

Nor care of what you think

If I put self-consideration before my name

I’ll write it in silky pink ink

I differ from most people in the scene who usually knew about their BDSM tendencies, their ‘deviance’, at a young age. I truly came upon BDSM overnight as an adult. But the more I embrace this lifestyle the more I realize there were traces of my attitude and  dominance in my life.

.

This poem is a perfect example. Yes I wrote this and yes its not a true work of art (ahum). I wrote this poem when I was 17 as homework for English class. We had to write a poem about someone in the class room. I had no interest in anyone in that class so I decided to write a poem about me…or rather a poem to my reflection in a mirror.

.

Of course I wrote it on purpose dripping with satire and poking fun at the forced subject matter we were given. The teacher loved it and thought it clever.

.

I came across this poem again recently when I did a big cleanup during the holidays. Can you tell, at my tender age of 17, there was most definitely a Mistress in the making?
